A wide variety of training opportunities.

Participants receive core training in the areas below and may also participate in additional activities such as extended hiking expeditions and specialized programs.

Search & Rescue Training

Train using official search techniques taken from the Ontario Search & Rescue Volunteer Association manual. Participate in realistic scenarios to prepare for real-world rescue missions and community service.

Grow into a leader through progressive leadership theory lessons and practical exercises. Participants will eventually manage their own projects and mentor others within the program.

First Aid Training

Become skilled in First Aid through training based on the St. John Ambulance reference guide curriculum, with realistic moulage training and future instructor pathways after age 18.

Learn how to navigate confidently in both urban and wilderness environments using maps, compasses, and GPS devices through hands-on exercises and competitions.

Hiking Training

Build endurance and outdoor skills through hiking expeditions along the Bruce Trail. Participants work toward completing trail sections and earning badges for achievements.

Explore the night sky and study astronomy basics. Apply STEM skills by designing, building, and launching model rockets, including projects powered by G-class motors.
