Practical training with a clear community purpose.

Progress Peel plans to become the main volunteer search and rescue organisation in the Region of Peel. The basis for the training is the skills from the Ontario Search & Rescue Volunteer Association Search Techniques Manual.

All of the skills learned from the textbook are practiced regularly during the Saturday training sessions. Once skills are learned, search and rescue scenarios will be performed on a regular basis to ensure that the team is ready if called upon to serve.
