Progress Peel wants students to significantly improve self-confidence, leadership capability, and practical skills.
Five-year path
A stronger resume and a stronger sense of what students can accomplish.
With the youth leadership program, Progress Peel wants students to have the best possible resume as they move on to post-secondary studies and/or career opportunities.
At the end of five years in the program, each Progress Peel student can complete the following achievements assuming they participate fully in all aspects of the program.
Receive at least 30 Bruce Trail badges
More than 100 volunteer hours
First Aid certification
Safe food handling certification
Training in search and rescue techniques
Learn how to do project management
Learn, develop, practice, and implement leadership skills
Become competent in radio procedure
Understand municipal government and educational campaigns
Participate in campaigns to improve local communities
Tracking progress
Progress Peel students are able to track progress toward rank improvements and important program milestones using the Google Classroom interface.
